Women and children served by the YWCA's Liberty House program are the proud recipients of a local man's contest winnings. Badger Infrastructure Solutions hosted a national Dig-Off event, awarding the YWCA Northcentral PA's Liberty House program $8,000. Badger operators don't just dig holes, they help locate utilities buried underground, dig holes and trenches needed for construction and infrastructure upgrades, and play major roles in rebuilding communities following natural disasters. Badger Infrastructure Solutions prides themselves on their team's safety records and the quality of their work. Hosting the1stAnnual Badger Dig-Off in Indianapolis on September 17th, Badger brought together twenty-four of their best operators to compete in a digging contest for the chance to showcase their skill and commitment to safety. Each of the 24 operators competing in the event were given target marks to dig to without posing threats to safety or exceeded depth requirements. Employed with Badger since 2014,Mentor Operator, Dave Hensler of Jersey Shore, successfully won the Dig-Off. With $4,000 secured by event sponsors, Badger matched another $4,000, and Hensler was awarded the chance donate $8,000 to a charity of his choice. "My wife and I spent time considering a good charity that could make a difference for those who cannot help themselves. The YWCA's Liberty House program helps women by providing a safe place to stay, clothing and a second chance. This donation could really help a lot of people, and I am proud to work for a company that does something like this,"Dave Hensler shared.
