A Jersey Shore man was sentenced to 8 to 16 years in state prison after admitting having sexual contact with three teenage girls to a Lycoming County judge this week.
The sentence imposed by Judge Ryan Tira on Dartagnan Hezik Zuback, 21, will run consecutive to the 1 to 5 years he received in 2021 involving another victim in Clinton County, according to PennLive.com.
First Assistant District Attorney Martin L. Wade noted the plea agreement was appropriate because Zuback admitted to police and pleaded guilty. His age was another factor, he said.
The prosecutor also noted the lack of interest by the victims' families, none of whom submitted victim impact statements or attended the sentencing.
Zuback, who has mental health and substance abuse issues, is required to register as a sex offender the rest of his life.
The ages of the girls when they were victimized in 2020 and 2021 ranged from 12 to 15, the media source said.
The sentence also includes charges of aggravated harassment by a prisoner and simple assault for incidents that occurred in the Lycoming County prison.
He admitted kicking another inmate in the eye on Aug. 12, 2021, and striking a corrections officer last Nov. 8, 2021.
