Tanner Barry Sanders, 21, of 405 Trinity Place, apartment 2, has been charged with felony theft, theft of secondary metal and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing three catalytic converters from two vehicles at Sweitzer's Garage on Route 880 in Limestone Township on Jan 7, state police said. The total loss was set at $9,784. Arraigned before District Judge Denise Dieter, Sanders remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail. Two other men, Derrick Carson and Ryan Hamilton, have already been charged in this case and will face further court action.
In another vase, Chadwic Moriarity, 35, of Lock Haven, has been charged with theft, theft of services and receiving stolen properties, all felonies, for failing to pay a $3,600 bill to Gary's Motor Mart, 269 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, back on Nov. 30, Lycoming Regional police alleged in a criminal complaint. After work was completed on his Subaru Forester, Moriarity was told to come to the business to make payment, police said. However, he came to the motor mart while it was closed and "used a separate key to take the car from the business without making payment," police alleged. Following his arraignment before Dieter, he was released on $25,000 bail.
