The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) will host a series of art activities
at Rider Park in conjunction with the Northern Tier Partners for the Arts.
The Arts in Education Residency program will consist of five two-day workshops. Each workshop will allow participants to create a piece of art using natural resources found at the park. Local artist, Gail Jones, will be on site to teach each project.
Participants will work on two pieces of art, one to take home and a group project that will remain at Rider Park.
Individuals and families are encouraged to attend the free workshops. Attendees can participate in all
workshops or choose which art activities are most appealing to them. The workshops will be hosted from 6:00- 7:30 pm on the dates noted below:
June 2 and 4: Nature Weaving
June 5 and 6: Woodland Collage
June 26 and 27: Sun Printing
June 28 and 29: Wood Mosaic
June 30 and July 1: Moss Turtles
All supplies will be provided but are limited. Participants are asked to pre-register for the workshops by calling FCFP at 570-321-1500 or emailing FCFP@fcfpartnership.org. Updates to the schedule will be posted on social media @FCFPGives.org.
FCFP has enlisted the local Pennsylvania Council on the Arts in Education Partner, Northern Tier
Partners for the Arts (NTP4Arts) to provide the art workshops. NTP4Arts supports Arts in Education
Residency programs in Bradford, Columbia, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga counties.

Rider Park is one of Pennsylvania's great scenic and recreational treasures, featuring 867 acres of
private land available to the public 365 days a year, from dawn to dusk, for hiking, trail running, mountain bike riding, cross country skiing and other low-impact recreational activities. The Park, located in Warrensville, PA, offers over 10 miles of major and secondary trails leading to three breathtaking vistas.
