At 2:30 p.m. on March 18, Josiah Baity, 25, of 28 Catherine Drive, was stopped by state police after they observed his 2011 Lincoln MKS traveling over the fog line on I-80 East near the Warrensville exit.
As police followed, Baity weaved within his lane, made a left-hand turn from the far right lane, failed to use turn signals when merging and proceeded through a flashing red traffic signal without stopping, court documents state.
Baity had glassy, bloodshot eyes and the odor of alcohol was detected coming from the vehicle, police allege.
Baity failed a field sobriety test, and had a BAC of 0.2, and lab results were positive for the presence of THC.
He was charged with DUI, four summary offenses, waived his preliminary hearing, and was released on $5,000 bail.
In another case, at 4:30 p.m. on June 8, police were called to the home of Anthony Mazzullo, 46, of 517 Seventh Ave., to investigate a domestic disturbance.
While speaking with the victim, Mazzullo returned to the residence, driving the victim's vehicle, and stumbled as he walked to the front of the vehicle, an affidavit said.
During questioning about the assault, Mazzullo stated that they had argued, but denied getting physical. He was difficult to understand due to his slurred speech and admitted to drinking three White Claws, police allege. He also exhibited glassy, bloodshot eyes.
Mazzullo failed a field sobriety test and had a BAC of .27.
He was charged with DUI. He waived his preliminary hearing and was released.
In another case, at 2 a.m. on April 9, Angelina Martinez, 24, of 1415 Shiffler Ave., was stopped by state police after her 2017 Chevrolet Cruze was observed crossing the raised concrete median into opposing traffic before correcting itself and weaving within its lane.
Martinez had glassy, bloodshot eyes and police detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, an affidavit said. Martinez admitted to consuming alcohol before driving.
She failed a field sobriety test and had a BAC of .10.
Martinez was charged with DUI, three summary offenses, waived her preliminary hearing and was released on $5,000 bail.
In another case, at 12:30 a.m. on March 25, Brian Bradford, 38, of 13 Spottswood Drive, Milton, was stopped by state police after they observed his 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 crossing the center and fog lines, as well as traveling at 68 mph in a posted 55 mph zone on I-80 West, near the Faxon Interchange.
Bradford had glassy, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and police detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, according to court documents. He admitted to consuming alcohol before driving.
Bradford failed a field sobriety test and had a BAC of .24.
He was charged with DUI, three summary offenses, waived his preliminary hearing and was released on $5,000 bail.
In another case, at 9 p.m. on June 4, Frederick Fischer, 67, of 1104 Mulberry St., Montoursville was stopped by state police on Warrensville Road just past the intersection with East Third Street, after they noted his license plate to be peeling to the point of being illegible.
Fischer's eyes were bloodshot and glassy and police detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle, an affidavit said.
He failed a field sobriety test and had a BAC of .11.
Fischer was charged with DUI, three summary offenses, waived his preliminary hearing and was released on $5,000 bail.
In another case, at 6 p.m. on May 10, Staci Nau, 40, of 2235 Hillside Ave., was arrested after reports of a hit and run at Johnston Place and Hillside Avenue. City police observed a destroyed white picket fence. A witness provided a description of the 2016 Jeep Cherokee and its license plate number.
Upon arriving at the residence, police found Nau exiting the driver's seat, holding a can of Bahama Mama Cocktail. Nau had slow, slurred speech, glassy, bloodshot eyes and was unable to walk without holding onto her vehicle, police allege.
She failed a field sobriety test, and had a BAC of .29.
Nau was charged with DUI, waived her preliminary hearing and was released.
In another case, at 12:15 a.m. on May 27, Lashonda Myers, 42, of 970 First St., was stopped by state police after her 2011 Subaru Outback was observed to have a registration light out, as well as stopping past the white line at a stop sign near Monroe Place and Grier Street in the city.
While confirming her identity, it was revealed that Myers had current warrants out for her arrest, according to an affidavit.
Myers admitted that she had smoked both crack cocaine and marijuana earlier in the day, police allege. She further stated that she has a medical condition that affects her eyes, which had a white, gray haze over them.
Myers' speech was slurred, and she provided police with a glass pipe and marijuana that she had on her. Her movements were slow and sluggish, according to court documents.
She refused a field sobriety test, a preliminary breath test and observation by a Drug Recognition Expert.
Lab results were positive for cocaine.
She was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and three summary offenses. She waived her preliminary hearing and was released.
In another case, at 2:30 a.m. on March 25, Jason Emerick, 48, of 338 Kane St., South Williamsport, was stopped by police after they observed his 2008 Jeep Wrangler traveling south on Market Street without headlights, as well as failing to come to a complete stop at a red light and turning without using the turn signal.
During questioning, Emerick stated that his insurance information was on his phone, then told police he did not have his phone despite it being in plain view in the center console, an affidavit said.
Emerick had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech and admitted to consuming alcohol both at home and at Alley Bar & Grill in Williamsport, police allege.
He began a field sobriety test, but refused to finish, saying that he was going to "fail."
Emerick had a BAC of .20.
He was charged with DUI, three summary offenses, waived his preliminary hearing and was released on $5,000 bail.
