Pound of marijuana sold inside of car to informant

Two men, Saladin Basil Brown, 24, of 815 Cherry St., and John Jahlil Carter, 34, of Philadelphia, were arrested and jailed on felony drug charges after they sold a pound of marijuana to an informant for $1,800 inside a vehicle in the 300 block of Park Avenue in the city early last week, it was alleged in an affidavit filed by the county's Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
Immediately after the sale, detectives stopped the car and took both men into custody. Carter and Brown were arraigned before District Judge Aaron Biichle on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy, and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail each.
The Narcotics Unit also impounded the car, which was expected to be search after a search warrant was obtained.
