Seven charged drug offenses in separate cases

Naaman Amos III, 45, of 672 Seventh Ave., has been charged with four felony counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of cellphone for his alleged involvement in four sales of cocaine to an informant between June 27 and July 25, according to court records filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit. Three of the alleged sales occurred at Amos’ city home while one took place in the 800 block of Old Cement Road near Muncy, investigators said.
Arraigned before District Judge Aaron Biichle, he remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $85,000 bail.
In another case involving the narcotics unit, Karonin Robinson, 30, of Philadelphia, has been charged with deliver of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone for allegedly selling $100 worth of crack cocaine to an informant in the 600 block of Lycoming Street in the city on Aug. 1, according to court records. He has waived his hearing before District Judge Christian Frey and remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
In another case, Lance Gingery, 34, of 392 Brentwood Drive, Cogan Station, has been charged by city police with possession of a controlled substance (two bags of heroin) and possession of drug partain the 1100 block of Memorial Avenue on May 29. He has waived his preliminary hearing before Biichle and is free on $5,000 bail.
In another case, Makayla Wetzel, 26, of Lock Haven, has been charged by Lycoming Regional police with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamines and bath salts in the 600 block of Railroad Street in Jersey Shore on July 8, according to court papers. Arraigned before District Judge Denise Dieter, Wetzel has been released on $20,000 bail.
In another case, Lycoming Regional police have also charged Leslie Scott Jackson, 38, of Troy, with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Maynard Street in the city on July 1, according to an affidavit. The officer was working in the capacity of a countywide task force member at the time. Jackson has been sent a summons to appear before Frey.
In another case, Lycoming Regional police have also charged Morgan Lynn Young, 22, of Lock Haven, with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia on Route 220 in Piatt Township on March 31. She has waived her preliminary hearing before Dieter and was released on $10,000 bail.
In another case, a bench warrant was expected to be filed for the arrest of Toni Sporny, 23, of Renovo, after she failed to appear for her preliminary hearing on state police charges of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia on the West Fourth Street off-ramp of Route 220 in Woodward Township on July 1.
