Arriving in the 800 block of West Third St. to investigate a disturbance with a reported injury about 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 30, city police met with an "extremely frightened, dazed woman in pain," who was "bleeding heavily from the right side of her head and left hand," according to an affidavit. It is alleged that Nahzay Tyshon Goins, who also goes by "Schemin," inflicted the injuries after coming to the woman's home unwelcomed, police said. Goins, 18, of 649 Wildwood Blvd., "began throwing items at the woman's windows, causing them to break. He then shoved the woman against her neighbor's house and pushed her head against the wall, causing a large cut on her head," the affidavit stated. Goins then "shoved her into the stones on the ground, cutting her left hand," it was alleged by police. Goins fled the scene, police said, adding that the woman was taken by ambulance to UPMC to get treated for her injuries. The two are acquainted with one another, police said.
Arraigned before District Judge Aaron Biichle on charges of aggravated and simple assault, criminal mischief, Goins remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $95,000 bail.
