When city police and paramedics arrived at Taylor Bird's home at 1675 Terrance Place about 9 p.m. on Oct. 16, they found an acquaintance performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Bird, who had overdosed, according to court records. Paramedics took over treating the 27-year-old man, who was revived. In plain view in the kitchen was an estimated six pounds of marijuana, police said. Bird has since been arraigned before District Judge Christian Frey on a felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Bird, who remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail, waived his preliminary hearing this week.
