Michel Kevin Young, 53, of 117 Shaffer St., DuBoistown, faces three counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of cellphone for his alleged involvement in three sales of crack cocaine to an informant between May 23 and June 5, according to court records filed by the county's Narcotics Enforcement Unit. Two of the alleged sales occurred in the 100 block of Maynard Street in the city and the third took place in the 1700 block of Liberty Drive in Old Lycoming Township, investigators said. He has since waived his hearing before Frey and is free on $25,000 bail.
In another case involving the narcotics unit, Tina Marie Sanders, 19, of 405 Trinity Place, apartment 1B, has been arrested on charges of delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a communication device for allegedly selling what she claimed was methamphetamine -- but turned out to be just rock salt -- to an informant at West Third and Maynard streets in the city on Aug. 21. She has waived her preliminary hearing and is free on $25,000 bail.
In another case, city police have charged Matthew Eugene Lucas, 27, of 1888 Fairlawn Ave., Cogan Station, with possession of a controlled substance (two bags of fentanyl) and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1600 block of Terrace Place on Sept. 9, according to court records. A bench warrant for his arrest was expected to be filed for his arrest after he failed to appear for his preliminary hearing.
