In another case, Deandre Bentley, 31, of Philadelphia, was arrested by the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit after a Jan. 18 incident in which they allegedly sold a confidential informant four zip lock baggies containing crack cocaine.
Following the buy, Bentley was stopped by South Williamsport Police on South Route 15, where they discovered the pre-recorded police money used by the confidential informant, according to court documents.
During the investigation, police discovered that Bentley was renting a unit at My Self Storage in South Williamsport.
A search warrant for the unit revealed 41 MDMA pills, 1.5 ounces of crack cocaine, 1.84 grams of fentanyl as well as a black Glock style 40 caliber handgun, an affidavit said.
Bentley is restricted from possessing a firearm due to a prior conviction.
Additionally, all drugs found in the unit were packaged consistent with street level drug dealing, police allege.
Bentley was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, illegal possession of a firearm, three counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance and was remanded to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $90,000.
