A small brush fire in the 300 block of Rawle St. in Fairfield Township quickly got out of hand late Tuesday afternoon, spreading to this garage where a MACK truck was stored. The fire also threatened-- but did not damage -- a large tank of anhydrous ammonia, Montoursville Deputy Chief Jeff Hutchins said. Sparks from a smoldering fire in outdoor fire pit started the brush fire, he added. While firemen were working to contain this blaze, a garage fire broke out at 1425 Mc-
Kee Road in Lycoming Township about 5:45 p.m. However, firemen only needed about 100 gallons of water to extinguish this accidental fire, Hepburn Township Deputy Chief Brent Michael said.
