The Lycoming Arts First Friday will feature the UPMC Community Block Party on May 3., beginning at 5 p.m.
The block party will feature health information, the Kids Zone, autism fair and a variety of family activities on West Fourth Street between William and Elmira Streets.
"As our primary sponsor for 2024, we are grateful for UPMC's vital support of our artists and downtown merchants," said Debi S. Burch, president of Lycoming Arts.
"Their generous contribution and partnership with our organization ensures we can continue to offer events like the First Friday series to highlight the vibrance of the community," added Burch.
This year marks four years of collaboration between Lycoming Arts and UPMC.
"We are grateful to have such a vibrant artisan scene here in our region, and this event is a great way to celebrate what makes Williamsport and the surrounding communities so special," said Kari Kurtz, director, Community Relations, UPMC in North Central Pa.
"The focus of this year's Community Block Party is to offer a variety of family wellness and fellowship opportunities, bringing together neighbors of all ages in a joyous atmosphere. Our health services extend outside our facilities, and this is just one of the many ways we're taking health care to the people we serve," added Kurtz
In addition, First Friday will once again host artists, vendors and food trucks. There will also be live music from the Gabe Stillman Band, as well as the Uptown Music Collective and the Williamsport High School Band.
