The Community Arts Center is seeking a partner to ensure its long-term sustainability as an economic cornerstone for the region, according to a news release.
The Community Arts Center, a 2,100-seat facility at 220 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, is owned and operated by Pennsylvania College of Technology. The CAC has attracted approximately 2 million patrons for performances by nearly 2,000 artists from around the world since its opening in 1993 in the extensively renovated and restored former Capitol Theatre, the news release added.
The CAC has issued a request for proposals for naming rights for 10 years, commencing July 1, 2025. The commitment would help the CAC continue to meet its economic, cultural and community-focused mission while providing a catalyst to attract an even wider audience The deadline for RFP submissions is June 14, the news release said.
"The Community Arts Center has been a gem in this community for over 30 years, and we are dedicated to its long-term sustainability," Executive Director Jim Dougherty said.
"As we continue to evolve - and seek to remain relevant and viable in the entertainment industry - we recognize that significant investments must be made to our historic 2,100-seat theater. We're eager for a partner to join us in this endeavor."
Benefits for the naming-rights partner include extensive signage placement (including a new external digital marquee at the main entrance), logo presence throughout the facility and around the Penn College campus, acknowledgement in news and marketing efforts in various platforms, promotion during public events, and corporate use of the facility when available.
