A swath of burned brush clearly reveals the damage left by a field fire Sunday afternoon that consumed nearly eight acres that spanned two properties in the 700 block of Paulhamus Hill Road in Lycoming Township. Brush trucks from more than half a dozen communities were needed to extinguish the fire along with at least three tanker trucks. One property owner was doing some outdoor burning when the fire, fanned by wind gusts of more than 30 mph winds, easily allowed the fire to get out of control, investigators said.
