MUNCY — A male fugitive wanted by state parole for absconding and for a felony charge as well filed by Milton Borough police was captured Tuesday afternoon hiding in a garage in the first block of Green Street, Muncy police confirmed.

The fugitive, whose identity was not released, was caught following a foot pursuit that lasted about 10 to 15 minutes and began about 2:30 p.m. when the individual bolted from offices in the 100 block of East Water Street, police said. Law enforcement from several area departments rushed to the borough to assist in nabbing the man, who was automatically placed in the county prison on a parole violation.

No additional charges were filed as of Tuesday night.
