The driver of this tri-axle empty dump truck escaped injury and climbed out of the cab on his own after it went off the road, landing in a very muddy five- foot deep ditch along Route 44, about a mile north of Jersey Shore, in Porter Township about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Lycoming Regional police. Bressler’s Towing and Recovery responded. A section of Route 44 was closed for part of the afternoon while towing crews worked to remove the truck.
