Turbotville woman charged with retail theft

A Turbotville woman has been charged with retail theft after she stole $45.69-worth of items from a store in the 1000 block of Loyalsock Ave., on Jan. 3, 2025, Montoursville Borough Police allege in an affidavit.

Dawn A. Strickland, 63, of 502 Broadway West, Turbotville, allegedly placed the stolen goods inside her purse with the intent to remove them from the store without paying for them, a loss prevention specialist who witnessed Strickland’s pilfering told police, court documents.

The specialist produced a receipt with the total for the stolen items for police.

Strickland was arraigned on a charge of retail theft by District Judge Gary Whiteman, and released on $75,000 bail.
