Williamsport woman charged with shoplifting yet again

Following an arrest for shoplifting from a Fourth Street Family Dollar, April May Slack, 38, 1146 W. Fourth Street, has been charged again, this time for allegedly stealing more than $70-worth of clothing and bags from Goodwill, 621 Hepburn St., city police said in an affidavit.

While at the store on Oct. 14, Slack was observed speaking with several people as she moved through the store, picking up clothing and bags, before allegedly making her way towards the exit.

A manager at the store initially stopped Slack and informed her that she needed to pay for her items, at which point, she allegedly turned and ran out of the store, taking $70.89-worth of merchandise with her.

Slack was arraigned on a charge of retail theft by District Judge Gary Whiteman, and released on $10,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
