Home invasion results in charges against Williamsport man

After forcing his way into the woman’s home in the 600 block of Krouse Avenue about 11 a.m. on Nov. 1, Kevin Lewis Anderson put “his hand on the woman’s neck and pushed her down on a couch behind her,” city police alleged in an affidavit. Officers had been dispatched to the property to investigate a report of “a home invasion.”At the time, Anderson, 27, of 323 Brandon Ave., was looking for his girlfriend, but the court document did not state if she was there. The victim “sustained a bump on the back of her head and told an officer that she could not breathe” when Anderson allegedly had a hold of her neck, the affidavit stated. Anderson had already fled the scene when police arrived, but he was soon apprehended and arraigned before Frey on charges of strangulation, simple assault and trespassing. Initially jailed, he has since been released on $50,000 bail.
