Muncy man charged with making terroristic threats
Michael Wayne Brown, 44, of 14 N. Market St., Muncy, faces charges after he allegedly assaulted an alleged victim in the 10 block of South Main St., Muncy, shortly before 8 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2025, borough police allege in an affidavit.
Called to the residence by a witness, police found Brown in a state of heavy intoxication to the point of having difficulty standing up, according to court documents.
The alleged victim stated their desire to have Brown arrested and to leave the home, but said they were threatened with a knife.
Police ordered Brown to drop anything he was holding to which he complied, before allegedly resisting officer’s attempts to take him into custody,” according to court documents.
Brown then allegedly attempted to push past police in an attempt to reach the alleged victim, but was stopped when an officer deployed his taser, striking Brown in the upper left side of his back.
Brown was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, resisting arrest and harassment by District Judge Christian Frey and remanded to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
