Two face charges following separate domestic disturbances
During a domestic disturbance that lasted much of Nov. 21 in their Nippenose Township home at 211 Shady Acres Lane, lot 38, Christie Lynn Snyder at one point held her boyfriend hostage and would not let him leave the property as she held a knife in her hand, it was alleged in a Lycoming Regional police affidavit. Officers responded to the scene about 1:15 p.m. and took Snyder, 40, into custody on charges of false imprisonment, simple assault and harassment. Following her arraignment before District Judge Christian Frey, Snyder was released on $15,000 bail.
In another domestic, a minor hid in the attic as he heard Bradd Miller allegedly strike his wife in the couple’s South Williamsport home at 1121 W. Southern Ave. about 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 16, according to a borough police affidavit. During the incident, Miller opened the attic door and told the juvenile he would “‘put him in the hospital’ if he called the cops,” the court document stated. It was alleged that Miller, 43, told the youngster that “if the police did show up, he was dead.”
Following his arraignment hours later before District Judge Kirsten Gardner on charges of terroristic threats and simple assault, Miller was locked up in the Lycoming County Prison, but has since been released on $25,000 bail.
