Convicted felon arrested yet again after allegedly attempting to buy firearm

Two-time convicted felon Wesley W. Koch Jr. has been charged with one felony count of submitting false information on a government form in an attempt to purchase a firearm and one misdemeanor offense of making unsworn falsification to authorities, according to court records filed at District Judge Denise Dieter’s office. The charges stem from Koch, 75, of 6 Drake Lane, Jersey Shore, allegedly putting down false information on a form at National Sporting Goods, 1241 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, on May 14, Lycoming Regional police alleged in an affidavit. Convicted of felony burglary and larceny in 1969 and of felony statutory rape following a 1974 arrest, Koch waived his preliminary hearing last week and was released on $15,000 bail.
