Hughesville man jailed after allegedly filing false report of stolen pickup
Drew Patrick Houseknecht, 43, of 118 N. Main St., Hughesville, has been charged with false reports to law enforcement for allegedly filing a fictitious report that his 2015 Chevrolet Silvera-
do pickup truck was stolen from the 400 block of Beautys Run Road in Lycoming Township during the early morning hours of Oct. 8, according to criminal complaint filed by Lycoming Regional
police. After the report was filed, state police located the truck hours later parked at Sheetz at East Third Street and Westminster Drive. Surveillance video from the store showed Housekneckt parking the truck about 1:10 a.m. on Oct. 1. “The truck sat there until a state trooper spotted it. Drew had left Sheetz in another vehicle and never returned,” it was stated in an affidavit.
Following his recent arraignment on the misdemeanor charge before Solomon, Houseknecht was jailed in lieu of $2,500 bail.
