South Williamsport man charged with interfering with arrest
As city police officers were taking two women into custody during a large disturbance at Fourth and Memorial avenues about 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 20, 19-year-old Jumauhryi Drummond suddenly placed himself between an officer and one of the women being arrested, it was alleged in an affidavit. Drummond, of 1247 Brion Place, South Williamsport, was ordered multiple times to get out of the way, but when he refused to do so, another officer placed him under arrest for obstructing the administration of law, a misdemeanor. “Drummond swatted the officer’s hand away and told him ‘Don’t touch me,'” it was stated in the court document. The officer took Drummond to the ground immediately and a brief struggle ensued, ending only after a second officer had to deploy his taser in order to get Drummond under control. In addition to the obstruction offense, Dummond was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He recently waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Aaron Bichle and is free on $5,000 bail. There was no information available concerning the two women who were taken into custody,
Alleged assault results in charges filed against Hughesville area man
Gavin Luke Schomburg, 22, of 110 Evergreen Road, Hughesville, has been arrested on charges of simple assault and harassment for hitting and kicking a female in the stomach as well as grabbing her by the throat, blocking her breathing for about 15 seconds inside his Wolf Township home about 8 a.m. on Dec. 4, it was alleged in a state police affidavit. Following his arraignment hours later before District Judge Kirsten Gardner, Schomburg was released on $25,000 bail.
Two face felony charge for allegedly stealing merchandise from supermarket
Kevin Geter, 32, and Ashayla Minus, 30, both of 1027 Packer St., have been charged with felony shoplifting after they fled with $59 worth of merchandise from Wegmans, 201 William St., on Nov.18, city police alleged. This was the third offense for both of them, police said. Following their recent arraignment before Biichle, the two were released on $25,000 bail each.
Loyalsock Township woman charged with hindering apprehension
Suzanne Stroble, 73, of 2843 Four Mile Drive, has been charged with hindering apprehension of a fugitive, a misdemeanor, after she is alleged to have given false information to law enforcement about knowing the whereabouts of Bradley Paul Christman, 63, of Williamsport, who was being sought on a DUI warrant that filed in late March 2024. The DUI charge stems from an incident on Route 220 in Woodward Township back on Nov. 10, 2023. Stroble was told there was a warrant for Christman’s arrest. Investigators later learned that Stroble and Christman were together in Ventnor City, New Jersey in early July of this year, still when Christman was being sought. “During this investigation (between March 2024 and this summer) Stroble continued to deny knowing the whereabouts of Christman, but she was seen and found to be with him,” police alleged in an affidavit. Stroble has waived her preliminary before Biichle and is free on $5,000 bail.
Linden area man charged with indecent assault
Heath Allen Killinger, 49, whose last known address was 147 Harvest Moon Park, Linden, has been charged with indecent assault and harassment for having inappropriate contact with a female in the 600 block of Market Street on May 7, city police allege. He has since waived his preliminary hearing and is free on $5,000 bail.
City motorist charged with hit-run following injury crash
When motorist Noah Frank Bomboy, driving a Dodge Dakota pickup truck, crashed into a stopped vehicle at Sheridan and Penn streets about 3:40 p.m. on June 16, he hit it with such force that it went through the intersection and struck another vehicle, city police said. One of the vehicles, a Nissan Altima, was pushed close to 30 yards, police said. Bomboy, 43, of 1127 Washington Blvd., allegedly took off on foot, but police later found his wallet and a rental check he had written inside the truck. The two other drivers suffered injuries in the crash, police said. Charged with one misdemeanor count of accidents involving damage to attended property (hit-run), Bombay has waived his preliminary hearing and is free on $5,000 bail.
