South Williamsport man allegedly stole jewelry from Williamsport business

Sean David Beam, 43, of 117 W. Sixth Ave., South Williamsport, has been charged with felony theft and theft by deception after he stole $4,000 worth of jewelry from Nik's Goldworks, 1140 Hancock St., Williamsport, on Nov. 29 and then sold the items for $700 to another business, city police alleged. Following his arraignment before District Judge Denise Dieter, Beam was released on $35,000 bail. He has since waived his preliminary hearing.
