At first, Theodore Allen Fisher was arrested by Williamsport police charges of neglecting to get necessary medical care for hand burns the youngster suffered when he was between the ages of 2 and 4.
However, investigators have now charged the 33-year-old father with felony aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering in a new criminal complaint accusing him of allegedly inflicting the burns between April 2022 and September 2024.
Arrested in November on charges of felony endangering the welfare of a child and obstructing an investigation in a child abuse case, Fisher, of 749 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, waived his preliminary hearing on the new charges last week before District Judge Aaron Biichle. During the proceedings, however, police withdrew the felony charge of endangering the welfare of a child.
He remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $300,000 bail.
