Williamsport woman charged with retail theft twice in separate incidents

A Williamsport woman has been hit with two charges of retail theft after she allegedly took items from Weis Markets on River Avenue in Loyalsock Township, on several occasions between August and November 2025 without paying for them, court documents said.

Kadijah Lashay Sabur, 41, of 1527 Memorial Ave., identified by store asset protection personnel through her Weis Club Card, is alleged to have pilfered $491.09-worth of items from the grocer over eight occasions from Aug. 25 through Nov. 16, 2025, according to state police, who were shown a list of the stolen items, along with surveillance video depicting the thefts.

Sabur denied having stolen any merchandise, but allegedly could not produce any receipts for the items.

She was arraigned on two felony counts of retail theft by District Judge William Solomon, and released on $30,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
