Alleged shoplifter nabbed after fleeing supermarket

After he and an unidentified co-conspirator were stopped for trying to exit the Weis Market at 1916 Lycoming Creek Road with two shopping carts full of nearly $1,700 worth of unpaid merchandise about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Trent Fugee and the second man took off running, but a Lycoming Regional police officer en route to the Old Lycoming Township scene, quickly nabbed the 20-year-old Lock Haven man. Fugee was arraigned before Whiteman and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.
