PHOTO PROVIDED This pickup truck was engulfed in flames when Trout Run volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene of a reported vehicle fire in the northbound lanes of Route 15, just south of Buttonwood, about 12:10 a.m. Thursday. Firefighters made a quick knock down, preventing the fire from extending to a trailer full of pvc pipes that the truck was pulling, according to Trout Run Fire Chief Nick Smith. The driver of the truck was not injured, Smith said. The truck's engine likely overheated or its turbocharger might have failed, he added. Hepburn Township Volunteer firefighters also responded and helped put out the fire.
