After stealing numerous items from Wegmans late Friday afternoon, Lawrence Evans Cameron, who is homeless, made his way to the AMC Classic Theater, 300 W. Fourth St., where he shattered a large window with his cane, city police alleged. To replace the window and damaged frame was expected to cost about $3,500, police said. “His actions created a hazardous environment with shattered glass spread across the theater’s entrance. He caused annoyance and alarm for numerous moviegoers,” police alleged. Cameron, 61, was arraigned before District Judge William Solomon on charges of misdemeanor shoplifting, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.
