Upon being released from the state Correctional Institution at Greene on Dec. 4, 2024, convicted sex offender Brandon Lee Davis was due to report to a transitional living center on West Edwin Street in Williamsport, according to city police. However, the 31-year-old man absconded from state parole and fled to Gibsonville, North Carolone, just east of Greensboro, where he is believed to have lived until he was arrested last Feb. 25. He was arraigned Thursday before Frey on a felony charge of failure to register his new address with the state police as he is required to do so by law within three business days. Initially jailed in county prison in lieu of $95,000 bail, Davis has since been transferred to a state prison facility.
