Logan Nicholas Lewis, 29, of 1610 Scott St., Williamsport, has been charged with simple assault for throwing a vape at his ex-girlfriend and punching her twice in the eye during a disturbance at their home on Jan. 10, city police alleged in an affidavit. The woman was treated at UPMC Williamsport. Lewis has waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Aaron Biichle and is free on $15,000 bail.

In another case, Austin Eugene Grossnickle II, 37, of 3605 Lycoming Creek Road, lot 19, Cogan Station, is alleged to have struck a woman in head and body as well as damaged some of her personal property in the mobile home they share on Dec. 9, it was stated in a court document. Charged with simple assault and harassment, Grossnickle was arraigned recently before District Judge Christian Frey and released on $10,000 bail.
