Williamsport woman allegedly stole $900 worth of wine from supermarket

During a four-week period beginning in early September, Jennifer Daymude walked into Wegmans at 201 William St. on a daily basis, picked up a bottle of wine or two and walked out without paying for it, city police alleged in an affidavit. Sometimes the 42-year-old city woman came into the store twice a day and stole wine, police alleged. On Oct. 7, she was caught stealing $32 worth of wine, police said. Between Sept. 7 and the day she was apprehended, it was alleged that Daymude, of 620 Pine St., stole an estimated $900 worth of alcoholic beverages from the supermarket, police said. Charged with 23 counts of shoplifting, Daymude has waived her preliminary hearing before District Judge Aaron Biichle and is free on $5,000 bail.

Starting at $2.99/week.
