Area crews battle Montgomery blaze
Multiple fire and emergency crews were called to the scene of a structure fire in the 60 block of Johnson Street in Montgomery just before 2:45 p.m. Sunday.

Dispatchers received several reports of smoke coming from the residence, and the fire was upgraded to a second alarm roughly 10 minutes after it was initially called in, according to scanner reports.
There were no immediate reports of injuries, though a male resident was evaluated for smoke inhalation, a witness and friend of the occupants told the Sun-Gazette.
Three dogs were believed to have perished in the inferno, according to a witness who previously owned the property for ten years.
Fire personnel working to extinguish the flames escaped injury when the roof of the front porch collapsed.
