Three adults and four children have been indefinitely displaced following a second alarm fire in the 900 block of Wayne Avenue in the city’s Newberry section Monday afternoon.
Dispatchers received multiple reports of the blaze just after 4:15 p.m., according to scanner reports.
All tenants of the home were able to evacuate the structure, the owner of the property told the Sun-Gazette, though at least one person was transported to UPMC Williamsport, a fire official on the scene said.
The cause of the inferno was not immediately known, but the residence is expected to be uninhabitable for the time being the owner said.
