Four guilty pleas and a misdemeanor charge dropped in five separate cases
Dakota A. Kerstetter, 26, of 2381 Route 405, lot 86, Muncy, pled guilty on Feb. 13 before District Judge Kirsten Gardner to a Muncy Township police theft charge that stems from when he was employed at the Halls Station Sub Shop on Lycoming Mall Drive, according to an affidavit. He was charged with taking money, an estimated $29, from a tip jar to which he was not entitled between Oct. 29 and Nov. 8, police said. He made arrangements to pay $801 in fines and court costs.
In another case before Gardner, Jeffrey Lee Miller, 41, of 20 S. Arch St., Montoursville, has made arrangements to pay $1,099 in fines and court costs after pleading guilty to a state police charge of possessing marijuana on Interstate 180 in Muncy Township on Nov. 5.
In another case before the judge. Matthew Loren Edner, 53, of 595 Cemetery Drive, Hughesville, pleaded guilty on Feb. 20 to a state police misdemeanor count of possessing methamphetamine in the 200 block of North Railroad Street in Hughesville on Aug. 2. He has made arrangements to pay $900 in fines and court costs.
In another case, this one handled before District Judge Gary Whiteman, Fernando Guzman pleaded guilty to a South Williamsport police misdemeanor charge of making unsworn falsification to authorities that stemmed from him putting down false information on a government form when he attempted to purchase and transfer a firearm at Sauers Trading, 1100 W. Southern Ave., on Oct. 11, 2024. A felony charge of submitting false information on a form was withdrawn. Guzman, 59, of 625 Fifth Ave., made arrangements to pay $1,490in fines and court costs.
In another case, state police have withdrawn a misdemeanor charge of accidents involving damage to attended property (hit-run), against Christian Lovecchio, 54, of 261 Cliffside Drive after he paid full restitution to the victim, according to court papers at the office of District Judge
William Solomon. The charge stems from an incident on Aug. 12 when the U-Haul box truck style van Lovecchio was driving allegedly damaged the awning at Puff Express, 1349 Washington Blvd., in Loyalsock Township, police said. A summary offense also was withdrawn.
