Jersey Shore man charged with robbery

Kris Worden, 44, of 508 Railroad St., Jersey Shore, has been arrested on charges of robbing a care-dependent man by throwing a blanket over his head and forcibly taking his wallet from him in the victim’s Woodward Township home Nov. 30, state police alleged in an affidavit. Police said Worden took an estimated $1,000 from the wallet before he was contacted and told to return the wallet by the victim’s care provider, police alleged. Following a recent preliminary hearing before Dieter, Worden was held for court on felony charges of robbery, burglary, trespassing and one misdemeanor charge of theft. Initially jailed, he has since been released on $2,500 bail.
