Undercover drug sales lead to felony charges against South Williamsport couple
Cory James Blee, 47, and his wife, Heather Ann Longo, 43, were both arrested on felony charges Wednesday afternoon for selling various amounts of illegal marijuana at their four businesses in Lycoming County, it was alleged in an affidavit.
The two were selling illegal marijuana at the stores under the pretense that it was legitimate, legal, when in fact it was not, investigators alleged.
The arrests comes after investigators with the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit executed search warrants this week at the couple’s businesses: Herbal Haven outlets at 1542 E. Third St. in Loyalsock Township; 2705 Euclid Ave. in DuBoistown; 1625 Route 405 in Wolf Township plus Hungry Haven at 1723 W. Southern Ave. in South Williamsport.
The origin of the investigation dates back to mid-November 2024 when two former employees came forward to report to authorities that Blee and Longo had allegedly been running a “marijuana distribution operation for three years,” it was stated in the affidavit.
Using a social media app, Blee and Longo’s customers “placed marijuana orders,” and then those orders would be sent to the two employees, who kept large quantities of marijuana in their Hepburn Township home, the court document stated.
Longo and Blee allegedly took daily orders for marijuana from a group of customers known as “Shooting for the Stars” – that began im 2021.
After placing their orders, group members would “leave an envelope of cash in a designated place” in exchange for marijuana that was “packaged” by the employees, the affidavit stated.
At the end of each week, Blee and Longo’s employees would bring the envelopes of cash to the couple’s store outlet in Loyalsock Township.
After meeting with investigators, the two ex-employees “relinquished 30-plus pounds of marijuana, about 70 marijuana vape cartridges and 10 ounces of marijuana butter,” it was stated in the court document.
Undercover officers recently conducted marijuana buys at all four of the couple’s stores, and in each case, the potency of the marijuana in each sale exceeded the .3 percent allowed by law, investigators said.
Blee and Longo, both of 1723 W. Southern Ave., South Williamsport, have been charged with running a corporate criminal organization and four counts of possession with intent to delivery marijuana.
Following their arraignments before District Judge William Solomon, Blee was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail while Longo was released on the same amount.
