Williamsport police charge man with terroristic threats

While wielding a pair of hedge shears over his head in the 2900 block of West Fourth Street in Williamsport, on July 22, Shaun Ray Wettlaufer told another man “I’m going (expletive) kill you. I’m gonna (expletive) you up bubb,” it was alleged in a city police affidavit The alleged threats occurred at a former business, where the two men were employed at the time, police said, adding that the victim had confronted Wettlaufer about allegedly stealing items that did not belong to him.

Already on probation in Northumberland County for criminal mischief, Wettlaufer, currently staying at an addiction treatment center in Luzerne County, was arraigned last week before District Judge Christian Frey on charges of terroristic threats, theft, receiving stolen property and harassment. He was released on $15,000 bail. A preliminary. hearing is scheduled for late March.
