The driver of a Subaru Forester received only minor injuries as the result of an early morning crash in the 2600 block of Rauchtown Road in Crawford Township Saturday morning.
The operator stated that he lost control after hitting an icy stretch of road and struck a small embankment before overturning shortly before 7:15 a.m., according to Nippenose Valley Fire Chief Dean Miller.
The driver sustained a back injury believed to be only muscular in scope, but was transported to be evaluated out of an abundance of caution, Miller said.
Clinton County PennDOT was notified of the glaze of ice, which stretched to Rocky Road.
