Williamsport man charged with resisting arrest and violating PFA
Even though a city patrolman ordered him several times to stop and told him he was under arrest, Kurtus James Fox initially kept walking away, but then he suddenly turned around and started “aggressively walking in the officer’s direction” while at the same time making an obscene gesture with his hands, it was stated in affidavit. Several officers were needed to restrain the 38-year-old man, it was stated in an affidavit. Officers also had to deploy tasers to get him under control, police said. This all occurred about 10:50 p.m. on March 10 in the 800 block of West Fourth Street, where Fox, of 800 Poplar St., had violated a protection from abuse order, police said. Once in custody, Fox was arraigned before Solomon on misdemeanor charges of evading arrest, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct as well as violating the protection from abuse order. He has since waived his preliminary hearing and remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 b
