Game commission charges third man in running down whitetail deer with vehicle in Newberry

A third person, Austin B. Grossnickle Jr., 20, of 3635 Pine St., Cogan Station, has been charged for his alleged involvement in the killing of a whitetail deer that was “maliciously” run over by a vehicle at West Third and Arch streets in Williamsport during the early morning hours of March 8, 2025, according to an affidavit filed by the state Game Commission. The impact broke the deer’s two legs and neck, the court document stated.
