Montoursville woman charged with simple assault
Andrea Lynn Sweeley, 46, of 1108 Tule St., Montoursville, has been charged with simple assault and harassment after a verbal altercation turned physical, an alleged victim reported to police.
The incident began when the alleged victim arrived at a residence owned by himself and Sweeley.
The two had recently begun living separately, but made an agreement as to when both were allowed to be on the property, he told police.
Finding some of his items outside, the alleged victim made his way inside, at which point, he and Sweeley began to argue about his presence, according to court documents.
During the argument, Sweeley allegedly began to strike the alleged victim, causing him to cut and bleed, police said in court filings.
Sweeley was arraigned on the charges by District Judge Kirsten Gardner, and released on $35,000 bail.
