Two men jailed following separate domestic disturbances
Following a domestic disturbance at his Picture Rock home about 6:50 p.m. on April 10, Michaelreese Kulaga, 31, was arrested on assault-related charges and locked up in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail, according to state police. During the incident, Kulaga, of 72 Railroad St., put his hands around his girlfriend’s mother’s throat, interfering with her breathing, police alleged. He also struck a male with a broom, police alleged. Arraigned before Gardner on charges of felony strangulation, simple assault and three counts of harassment. He has since waived his preliminary hearing and remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Also jailed on criminal offenses stemming from another domestic disturbance was Brent Tyler Painter, 34, of 176 Harvest Moon Park, Linden, who faces charges of simple assault, harassment and possession of suboxone after he allegedly bit his girlfriend’s right cheek at her home on McGill Hollow Road in Woodward Township on Saturday. Following his arraignment before District Judge William Solomon, Painter was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
