Two Williamsport women charged in separate shoplifting cases

Dawn Aurora Welch, 61, of 752 Krouse Ave., Williamsport, has been charged with felony shoplifting after she was caught Wednesday allegedly stealing $41 worth of merchandise from the Goodwill Store at Park Avenue and Hepburn Street, city police said. This was her third or subsequent shoplifting charge, police said. Following her arraignment before District Judge Christian Frey, she was released on $10,000 bail.

In another case, Jeri Jeanette Wagoner, 44, of 1035 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, has been charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after she was caught allegedly trying to flee Wagmans, 201 William St., with $21 worth of merchandise on Jan. 29, city police alleged in court documents filed at the office of District Judge Aaron Biichle. She is free on $5,000 bail after waiving her preliminary hearing.
