Unlicensed, uninsured South Williamsport motorist charged with hit-run

After crashing head-on into an oncoming vehicle while passing another car in a no-passing zone on Route 15, near Blind Road. in Clinton Township about 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 7, motorist Larisha Joleen Moore, 27, fled the scene in her 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, state police alleged in an affidavit. However, two witnesses followed Moore and not only obtained the license plate on the car, but one of them took a photo of her, police said. One of the witnesses told Moore, of 702 Route 15, apartment 2, South Williamsport, that she had to return to the crash scene. There were no reports of injuries.

Moore, who did not have a driver’s license nor did she have any insurance on Pontiac, has been charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle (hit-run) plus eight summary offenses. She has since waived her preliminary hearing before District Judge Kirsten Gardner and is free on $2,500 bail.
