The driver of a Ford Edge refused treatment after her vehicle collided with a parked Chevy Silverado in the 6700 block of South Route 44 in Limestone Township shortly before 9 p.m. Monday night, according to Nippenose Valley Fire Chief Dean Miller.

The crash occurred when the female driver of the Ford failed to stop at the intersection of Middle Road and South Route 44 and struck the front end of the truck, which was parked in a residential driveway, Miller said.

The area was under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning at the time, however, the collision preceded the arrival of any rainfall, the Chief added.

A South Route 44 sign was downed and debris littered the path of the vehicle.

In addition to Nippenose Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Jersey Shore Area EMS and state police also responded to the crash.

Starting at $2.99/week.
