Jersey Shore 19-year-old charged with retail theft, corruption of minors

Gage Michael Murray, 19, of 322 Thompson St., Jersey Shore, faces several charges after he allegedly removed a margarita mix containing 13.9% alcohol, valued at $14.99 from the Jersey Shore Weis Markets, located at 1440 Allegheny St., without paying for it, Lycoming Regional Police said in an affidavit.

Surveillance video viewed by police allegedly shows Murray walking the alcohol aisle with two juveniles before one of them places the margarita mix into Murray’s backpack and the three leave the store.

Murray was arraigned on charges of corruption of minors, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, retail theft and illegal possession of liquor or malt or brewed beverages by District Judge Denise Dieter, and jailed at the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail
