Byers waived her preliminary hearing in the matter, and was made eligible for pretrial services.

The child, just 14 days old at the time, had seven fractures when examined by a physician after Dailey and Byers took him to be examined due his left arm being “weird,” city police detective Justin Segura testified.

Additionally, a bruise to the cheek and a deep cut to the chin of the child was observed by the detective, he testified.

“I may have been a little too rough,” Dailey allegedly told Segura during questioning.
